“The stage is decorated now with hanging strings with baubles. We start off in shades of blue, but end up in all shades of gold and orange, blue and green like on a rainbow. Michael at the front is wearing a gold tails coat suit. There are three female backing dancers on the right, also in gold dresses and with strings attached to their hands and used for a routine. A sole male backing singer is also standing further back.
After some of the weaker vocal performances we have heard today it is obvious that Michael von der Heide is an experienced singer who clears even the key changes of this song effortlessly. Switzerland might well be now in the running for a qualification on the basis of his performance.

The song builds really well and he was vocally good. There were a few tuning issues with the backing singers. This also looks very well visually, apart from possibly too much aimless walking by the backing singers.
A very good rehearsal from Switzerland.

If you are to look at the bookies and predictions then Switzerland is a not likely to qualify., but I think we may just have to re-think that. Michael in a new gold suit, three powerful female backing singers and a balalaika player are surrounded by multicoloured light and mini disco balls creating a real treat for the eye. Michael sings well, he has loads of energy and when he smiles it looks like he’s having fun and it really sells the song. This is a tough semi. If it as in the first semi, I’ll be calling this as likely to qualify, but it’s got a tough draw. The good news is that if people want an 80s retro song, the performance walks all over Denmark.

This is the Golden Rain song. Somehow if Sakis Rouvas said that song, it would have been the ultimate disco favorite this year. Though the static performance despite the very good vocals is not helping Switzerland as much as we thought it would. Yellow stage colors help a lot but still there could have been a spectacular show on stage.
EVA
The facial expression and the average face of Michael is definitely not helping this song entry. It is a nice entry from Switzerland but I am afraid that we will see again Swiss entry out of the final
