At the age of seventeen Cesár Sampson started touring the world as lead singer for some of Austria’s most internationally acclaimed alternative music acts; Kruder & Dorfmeister, Sofa Surfers and Louie Austen. In 2016 he was on the team that lead Bulgaria to their fourth place in the competition, and in 2017 he again was part of the Bulgarian effort that led to their placement as second.

We met Cesár Sampson for an interview. We talked about his show, which involves Cesár being elevated high above the stage floor, about his experiences in Eurovison and about his musical family that includes one half of the duo Pepsi and Shirlie, who had a huge hit in the 80’s with the song ‘Heartache’ and were backing singers for Wham!
